Join the Wesleyan Alumni in Real Estate at WRT Design for an informal networking breakfast.
For this breakfast, we will have a special guest lecture by Wesleyan Art History Professor, and 2019 winner of the Binswanger Prize for Excellence in Teaching, Joseph Siry. He will be speaking about his forthcoming new book, “Air-Conditioning in Modern American Architecture, 1890–1970: From Adler and Sullivan to Louis Kahn,” to be published by The Pennsylvania State University Press in its Buildings, Landscapes, and Societies series in January 2021. His talk will focus on Philadelphia’s PSFS Building, opened in 1932, which was the largest such structure in the world to be equipped with whole building air-conditioning at the time, and the only U.S. tall building included in that year's International Style exhibition.
